How to evaluate a discount code or first-order offer
The most common offer type in the weight-loss market is a reduced-price first order, often presented as a percentage discount or a named code. To evaluate whether this is genuinely competitive, you need at least three data points: the first-order price after the discount, the regular ongoing price once the offer lapses, and the delivery cost for both orders.
A provider offering 20% off the first month at a higher base price may still cost more over three months than a provider with no offer and a lower standard price. The comparison is more meaningful when you work out the three-month total, including delivery, rather than the single first-order saving.
Some providers show subscription pricing that auto-renews at a higher rate after an introductory period. If you are comparing a subscription service against a pay-as-you-go provider, the first-month prices are not directly comparable. Look at the full terms before treating the discount as the deciding factor.
